Dean Reeve, teaches and performs both nationally and internationally. He is part of Just4Funk Crew, Soul Mavericks and Funk and Disorderly Crew. He went to dance school at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, followed by a theatre degree at St. Mary's College University of Surrey.
Since graduating in 2007 He has been teaching workshops. He became a sponsored bboy for Eastpak and toured Europe. Dean has gathered a lot of his knowledge first hand and gained a reputation within bboy culture through out the world. He is an experienced dancer ready to give inspiration to the next generation of bboys.
Olivia Daniell is part of "Just 4 Funk," Devon's top breakdancing crew. Since their formation in 2007 they have battled around the UK and Europe, taking home titles such as the Seven Cities Bboy Championship (Southampton), Battle Stations (Plymouth), Stoopid Fresh Bboy Battles (Bath). They've also performed their explosive, original shows at some of the UK's top Hip Hop events including Breakin Convention: An International Festival of Hip Hop Dance Theatre. They are known as a friendly and approachable crew with a dynamic and stylish edge.
At the time of writing, Olivia is the only known female breakin teacher South West of Bristol who, alongside her crew Just4funk, focuses on teaching the original and authentic style of this form of dance. Olivia has taught in a wide variety of schools, (both Primary and Secondary), Pupil Referral Units, Youth Clubs and Dance Academies. In addition she has given workshops to children as young as 4 years old up to adults aged 50+.
As well as introducing students to the fundamentals of the dance, breakin has been found to be a great way to build self-esteem, confidence and team work.
Phill Stevens has over ten years experience in music production and DJing. He has toured extensively in the UK and Europe and has performed at Glastonbury, Beachbreak, Beautiful Days and is Akil the Mc's (Jurrasic 5) Europian tour dj.
He has been teaching workshops for the last four years in schools and community arts projects. Teaching all aspects of DJing, production and mentoring students in performance. He presents and produces the Deep Concentration Hip Hop radio show on Phonic.fm every friday night 8-10pm
Alex has been DJing for over seven years under the name of ‘NaturalBeatz’, playing a mix of eclectic music from old school funk and Hip Hop through to liquid Drum n Bass and Dubstep. Alex’s sets are fresh and original, blending and cutting tracks seamlessly to get the dance floor moving.
He has always used turntables for his DJing because of the hands on approach turntables offer. Originally all his sets were vinyl but since the realm of digital DJing now uses Serato Scratch
Alex has held residencies at clubs across the south and can been seen playing in some of Southampton’s best bars and clubs supporting many big names such as Shy FX, Scratch Perverts and Stanton Warriors. He has also been winning an international audience have also played at festivals such as Larmer tree and Winter Break located in the French Alps
Alex is responsible for setting up and running the festival ‘Some Thing In The Field’ which is now in its 4th year. Going from strength to strength STITF offers Artists a strong platform to showcase their material with emphasis on offering local and not so well known bands and DJs a chance to shine in front of a friendly crowd.
Sophie has been singing professionally for 3 years and is currently taking a degree in vocals. Only 20 years old and has worked and performed with the likes of Joss Stone, Vagabond and Reef. Sophie is also in a band called 'Sophie Mendoza and the Sonic Blue'. The band have been together over seven months and have already been up and down the country playing headline gigs and hitting big venues in London.
Getting more known in the local music scene Sophie has received a lot of attention over how powerful and rich the tones of her voice are; and wonder how she achieves her wide range with such control.
For the last 8 months Sophie has started to coach vocals and most of her students are front-men/women themselves. With Sophie they learn several techniques and exercises which are essential to do all types/styles of singing live or in a studio.
Dan runs an experienced and flexible independent film production company based in Exeter, Devon, U.K. They provide hard copy and streaming media for business, charities and individuals, using HDV camera’s and a Final Cut Pro editing suite.
Dan has been making film productions for over six years and has worked on a diverse range of productions. These include; a classical music concerto, a march to celebrate International Women’s Day, a country and western festival, training videos for The NHS, The Civil Aviation Authority and Flybe airlines and fictional short films. He is currently studying a degree in Television Production and is based in Exeter, Devon.
For the past for years Kie has been working at a professional standard in free running doing commercials, performances, coaching and stunt choreographing worldwide. He is a part of UrbanFreeflow.com which is the leading parkour and freeruninning team worldwide. Alex Warrent is one of the most original and technically accomplished DJs in the South West. His unique style of performance defies genre and time as he remixes and scratches live to entertain and excite audiences from Exeter to the Alps.
His live mix 'Broken Record Mixtape' (08) was released online and received acclaim in blogs and forums. Since the mixtape he's ventured into the realm of digital DJing, using Serato to expand his live performance further than ever possible with standard vinyl. Now he can be seen supporting big names such as DJ Yoda, Cut Chemist, DJ Format and Fingathing as well as holding down 5 residencies around Exeter and Bristol.
When out of the clubs, Mullet takes great time and effort into building his local music scene and inspiring young people. In 2008 he created ExeFest; a contemporary music and arts festival in East Devon.
Always keen to inspire and educate, Mullet has channelled his knowledge and skills into a series of DJ lessons which he has been successfully executing in various schools, universities and youth clubs. His agreeable teaching style is easily adapted to all ages and skill levels, teaching everything from equipment setup to advanced turntablism with great effect.
He has also written, performed and produced music, theme-tunes and songs for television programmes such as MTV's "Dirty Sanchez" and BBC 3's "Bizarre ER", for feature films for Vertigo Films, extreme sports DVD's and adverts for Nike. Adam started his first record-label "Fever Sounds" in 1998 and has been running NEWBIAS Records since 2002, along with working as an event-manager and club-promoter in London and SW UK and as a freelance Music Licensing Consultant for various advertising agencies and broadcasters.
With an extensive working knowledge of Copyright and Music Contracts, Label Management, Compilations, Event Managment, Tour Management / Band Booking, Record Distribution, PR and Promotion, Publishing and Music Licensing (Film, TV, Advertising and Games), Adam has the all round hands-on experience to be able to offer informative and eye-opening workshops / discussion groups on the harsh realities of surviving in the Music Industry (something which many young musicians are keen to know about these days), specialising in helping young people understand much of how it works and what to expect in terms of the benefits and risks of trying to commercially exploit their own talents independently.
